Homemade Wagyu Burger: Indulge in Pure Perfection
Wagyu Burger
A Wagyu burger is the ultimate indulgence for burger lovers, offering an incredibly rich and juicy bite thanks to the high marbling content of Wagyu beef. This premium beef, known for its tenderness and intense flavor, elevates a simple burger into a luxurious dining experience. Wagyu beef has a higher fat content compared to regular beef, resulting in a buttery texture and deep, umami-packed taste. When cooked properly, the fat melts into the meat, making each bite exceptionally tender and flavorful.
Unlike standard burgers, Wagyu burgers require minimal seasoning since the beef’s natural flavors stand out on their own. A light touch of salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce enhances the taste without overpowering the meat. Cooking at medium-rare to medium is recommended to maintain juiciness and ensure the fat is properly rendered.
A buttery brioche bun is the perfect complement, offering a slightly sweet contrast to the savory richness of the patty. Classic toppings like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles provide a refreshing balance, while a slice of cheddar cheese adds a creamy finish. Pair your Wagyu burger with crispy fries or a fresh salad for a truly satisfying meal. 🍔🔥

Ingredients
1lb (450g) Wagyu beef, ground
1tsp salt
1/2tsp black pepper
1/2tsp garlic powder
1/2tsp onion powder
1tsp Worcestershire sauce
1tbsp unsalted butter
4 brioche buns
4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
1tbsp mayonnaise
1tbsp Dijon mustard
1tbsp ketchup
4 lettuce leaves
1 large tomato, sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
4 pickle slices
Instructions
Prepare the Patties:
In a bowl, mix Wagyu ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a splash of Worcestershire sauce for enhanced flavor.
Gently mix the ingredients without overworking the beef.
Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties (about ¾-inch thick).
Preheat the Grill or Pan:
Heat a cast-iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
Melt a little butter in the pan to keep the patties from sticking and to boost their rich flavor.
Cook the Wagyu Patties:
Place the patties on the hot pan or grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or 5-6 minutes per side for medium.
If using cheese, place a slice on each patty in the last minute of cooking and cover with a lid to melt.
Toast the Buns:
Lightly butter the brioche buns and toast them on the pan or grill for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
Assemble the Burgers:
Spread mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and ketchup on the toasted buns.
Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom bun, followed by the Wagyu patty.
Add tomato slices, red onion, and pickles.
Top with the other half of the bun.
Serve and Enjoy:
Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes like fries or a salad.

Note
Avoid overmixing the beef to keep the patty tender.
Do not press the patty while cooking to retain the juices.
Use a meat thermometer for precision: 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare, 140°F (60°C) for medium.
Let the patty rest for 2-3 minutes before assembling the burger to preserve its juiciness.
Choose high-quality brioche buns to complement the richness of the Wagyu beef.
