Gretchen Wieners Teams Up with Toaster Strudel for a Limited-Edition "Mean Girls" Launch
Gretchen Wieners is still on a mission to make fetch happen, and this time, she's bringing Toaster Strudel along for the ride. In a fun nod to her character in Mean Girls, the real-life brand is getting behind her once again.
Lacey Chabert Joins the Launch
Lacey Chabert, who famously portrayed Gretchen Wieners in the 2004 comedy, is helping Pillsbury introduce a special, limited-edition Mean Girls Toaster Strudel. Available in two delicious flavors—Strawberry and Cream Cheese & Strawberry—this new product is now rolling out to stores nationwide.
Naturally, the strudel comes with pink DIY icing, a nod to the iconic Mean Girls wardrobe rule: On Wednesdays, we wear pink. Appropriately, the product was launched on a Wednesday.
"The Most Fetch" Sweepstakes
To add to the fun, Pillsbury and Paramount Pictures are also kicking off “The Most Fetch Toaster Strudel Icing Sweepstakes.” Fans can win a personalized video message from Gretchen Wieners (Lacey Chabert) on October 3, National Mean Girls Day, and a year’s supply of Toaster Strudel.
To enter, all you have to do is get creative with the pink icing, share your design on Instagram or Twitter using #FetchSweepstakes, and tag @ToasterStrudel by September 20.
Gretchen Wieners' Seal of Approval
Chabert celebrated the launch on Instagram, sharing a playful post that read: "I DO think my father, the inventor of Toaster-Strudel, would be pleased to hear about … @MeanGirls inspired TOASTER-STRUDEL! I want to see your fetchest designs!"
In the post, she donned her signature pink look, holding the new Toaster-Strudel box, ready to make fetch happen once again.
