Cavatappi

This quick and easy recipe only requires two pans and is packed with pantry-friendly ingredients. Imagine a fusion between Hormel® and Chef Boyardee® in one dish—perfect for kids! Feel free to swap the cava-tappi for any sturdy pasta like bow-tie, wagon-wheel, or mostaccioli. For a Tex-Mex twist, add some frozen corn, and don’t forget to top it off with cheese before serving.

  • 2 quarts water
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 8 oz package cavatappi pasta
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 15 oz seasoned black beans, undrained
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
