This warm apple cid-er is infused with the cozy flavors of cinnamon, cloves, allspice, orange, and lemon. Start by using six strips each of orange and lemon peel, adjusting to your taste.

Ingredients
  • 6 cups apple cider
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 6 whole allspice berries
  • 1 orange,Peel and cut into strips
  • 1 lemon ,Peel and cut into strips
Instructions

    1. Gather all the ingredients.
    2. Pour the apple cid-er and maple syrup into a large stainless steel pot.
    3. Place the cinnamon sticks, cloves, allspice berries, orange peel, and lemon peel in the center of a square of cheesecloth. Fold up the edges to make a bundle, and secure it with kitchen string.
    4. Drop the spice bundle into the cid-er mixture.
    5. Heat the saucepan over medium heat, allowing the cid-er to warm for about 5-10 minutes, until it’s very hot but not boiling.
    6. Remove the cid-er from the heat and discard the spice bundle.
    7. Serve the cidr in large mugs, and add a fresh cinnamon stick to each cup if desired.
