This hearty Rotel dip featuring sausage elevates the classic combination of Rotel and Velveeta, with just a few extra steps for a burst of flavor. The addition of sausage not only enhances the taste but also increases the quantity of the dip. With just three simple ingredients, it's perfect for serving with tortilla chips or any dipping snack of your choice.
10ounce diced tomatoes with green chilies (such as RO-TEL® Original), undrained
Instructions
In a large skillet, heat over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, stirring frequently, until browned and crumbled, about 10 minutes. Use a spatula to break up the sausage while it cooks. Drain any excess fat and return the sausage to the skillet.
Add the cubed Velveeta® and RO-TEL® tomatoes to the skillet. Lower the heat to medium and cook, stirring every 5 minutes, until the mixture is fully melted and well combined, about 15 minutes. If you prefer a thinner dip, add a splash of half-and-half during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
